I’m not the type for self help but this book has allowed me to bring my stress levels down a few notches. In the beginning I feel I got a pretty good understanding of what stress is and how my body reacts to it which put a lot of things in perspective(like my stress eating issues). The self assessment was extremely insightful and I can see myself retaking it often to gauge where my stress levels are. I have been able to do some of the 1 minute and 5 minute exercises both at work and in the car, as well as some of the 10 minute exercises at home. I think this is the type of book I needed to read to crack my “self help books are ridiculous” mentality.

I love how this book gets straight into real world solutions without a whole lot of superfluous preamble. The topics covered are relatable and the solutions offered are practical and easy to work into a daily routine. Anyone who reads this book will benefit from the thoughtful techniques offered to manage stress and help minimize its effects.
